February 15th CISD Professional Learning Day

February 15th will allow us to nurture our district-wide PLC through the sharing of ideas, resources, and knowledge. 

As an attendee, you will make three choices about how you will engage in learning. The day will consist of four (4) blocks of instructional time. For the first three (3) blocks of time, you will choose to attend a session from one of our two major strands "Using Data to Inform Instruction" or "Differentiation", or participate in a Braindate or spend time in the PLC Showcase. 

PLC Showcases will be available to walk through in the cafeteria. Participants can expect to see campus principals sharing artifacts and resources related to PLC and collaborative team time on their campuses. If you choose, plan to spend up to one of your instructional blocks in this area.

Participants who elect to work with Thought Partners will have an opportunity to engage in conversation around common topics of interest proposed on a digital platform by other participants. This learning opportunity will be located in the library and facilitated by CISD librarians.

The time blocks are 8:30-9:45, 10:00-11:15, 12:45-2:00. From 11:15-12:45, you will have lunch on your own. From 2:15-3:30, you will participate in team time with your grade level team from your campus.

During team time, you can expect to debrief and reflect on the day's learning. Additionally, you can use this time to apply your learning to inform your upcoming instructional design.

Elementary:
To find your location for team time, search for (Your Grade Level + Your Campus + Team Time) in "search" bar within the "Schedule" tab and add your grade level's session it to your personalized schedule. Ex: 4th Grade + Mockingbird + Team Time.


Secondary:
To find your location for team time, search for (Your grade level + Content area + Team Time) in "search" bar within the "Schedule" tab and add it to your personalized schedule. Ex: 9th grade + Math + Team Time

Specialists:
To find your location for team time, search for (Your role + Team Time) in "search" bar within the "Schedule" tab and add it to your personalized schedule. Ex: Digital Learning Coach + Team Time.
